Autumn is a great time for superb tasting British vegetables – and thanks to this year’s vegetable-friendly summer (plenty of sun, but a few rain showers too) they should be even better than ever.
Our favourites for September are courgettes, runner beans and plums. For more information on seasonal produce we’d recommend the websites: eatseasonably.co.uk which features an excellent year round ‘wheel’ of seasonal goodies.
If you’re a keen gardener and fancy having your very own crop of seasonal vegetables in your garden by this time next year, take a leaf out of the book (or should that be garden) of our new food blogger Jaspal Boyce with the first in a series of posts on Growing vegetables at home.
