Food ethos
Locally sourced, ethical and fair-trade, organic ingredients, and all food prepared and cooked on site.

Café Africa uses local, ethical and fair–trade ingredients and sources, and pride themselves on their in–store baking and making. They make their cakes, tray–bakes, breakfasts and lunches from scratch, and fresh to order, focusing on melt–in–your–mouth quality!

Café Africa supports local charities and an Amersham–based Youth Club on Friday Nights at Chiltern Youth Centre in coordination with Chiltern Youth Projects. They therefore welcome all young people to come and enjoy what Café Africa has to offer.

As a private venture set up in 2009, they believe in doing a good thing within their local community, as well as within a wider, global context. They pride themselves on the good they do for charities, their relationships with local suppliers as well as the coffee farmers in Rwanda who grow and harvest their coffee beans.

They prepare and cook nearly all of their food on site, using locally sourced ingredients.

Free Wi-Fi is provided. Table reservations can be made.

Their coffees are supplied by an Amersham–based supplier who sources his beans from a small farm in Rwanda. By drinking their coffee, you support his farm and the farmers who work with him.

A local bakers in Chesham supplies their Belgian Buns and Danish Pastries.
