Clifden Arms Pub, Worminghall

Full Description

Summary:  Fine dining, local, seasonal food from a Michelin-star-trained chef in a 16th century, thatched and beamed building, with an attractive beer garden which has a children’s play area.

Matthew and Kate Butcher took over The Clifden Arms in June 2011. Matthew was previously Head Chef at Ston Easton Park in Somerset and Sous Chef at The Bath Priory Hotel (1 Michelin star). Before this he worked for three years at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux ‘Quat Saisons (2 Michelin star).

Matthew’s menu combines ingredients sourced direct from farmers and other local producers. The menus are affordable, based on pub classics and other dishes without pomp or pretence. Set menus are available at lunch and dinner.
